My kids love this recipe so much, in fact, we made these mummy pizzas during summer when we were craving pizza but didn’t have time to make homemade pizza dough. And that’s why I love this recipe so much, you don’t have to make homemade dough – just use store-bought biscuit dough and you are set!

Ingredients Needed to Make Mummy Pizzas
Before I share how to make Mummy Pizzas, here is a list of ingredients you’ll need to put these together.
- Roll of Biscuit Dough
- Jar of Pasta Sauce
- String Cheese – sliced in long strips
- Sliced Olives
- Pepperoni (optional)
How to Make Mummy Pizzas
Mummy Pizzas are so easy to make and are the perfect activity to do with your kids near Halloween.
Step #1: Dough
All you need to do is open your biscuit dough and place on a baking sheet.
Have each child flatten the dough by pressing on it and making it a little bit bigger than it already is. If you don’t flatten out your dough, it will puff up pretty high in the oven when it’s cooking just like a biscuit would do, so make sure you flatten it first.
Step #2: Add Sauce
After you flatten your dough, add a spoonful of pasta sauce and spread it around on your dough. This is a good step to do for your kids if they are younger. My son was old enough to do this part himself. Then add pepperoni if you want.
Step #3: Slice The Cheese
Next, you’ll need to pre-slice your string cheese into long strips. These cheese strips will be your “cloth” you are wrapping your mummy in, so make sure they are not too thick. For example, I sliced one string cheese into about 10 thin long strips of cheese.
Step #4: Olive Eyes
Open your can of sliced black olives and give 2 to each child as eyes for their mummy. Have them add the eyes to their pizza.
Step #5: Wrap Your Mummy
Next, give each child a bunch of string cheese strips and have them place the strips all over their mummy pizza making it look like they are wrapping their pizza like a mummy.
Step #6: Bake
Once they are done making their mummy pizza, bake in the oven for 11-15 minutes at 375 degrees. Keep an eye on their mummy pizzas and check them at 11 minutes. If they are slightly brown on top, then they are done.

Step #7: Cool & Enjoy!
Let the pizzas cool for a few minutes before serving to the kids. Enjoy!
How to Use Mummy Pizzas
Mummy Pizzas are perfect to serve at a kids Halloween party that you are going to host for your child and all his/her friends. These mummy pizzas are also perfect to serve for dinner right before you head out to go trick or treating around your neighborhood on Halloween night.
I love this recipe because it’s so simple and fast, and on Halloween night when I’m already busy doing everything else, it’s nice to have a super-fast dinner recipe to turn to that is still festive and fun.
Perfect for School Class Parties Too!
You can also take Mummy Pizzas to school for the class Halloween party. In fact, if you don’t want to cook your pizzas in an oven, you can even cook them in an Air Fryer.
If you can bring your Air Fryer to school, you can even turn these Mummy Pizzas into an activity you do with the class at the school Halloween party (of course ask for permission first from the teacher).
Have small groups of students take their turns making their Mummy Pizzas, and then cook them in small batches in an air fryer.
Mummy pizzas are not only a yummy treat, but they are also a great activity to do for Halloween! And, kids love this recipe, so it’s a win-win!
Halloween Party
If you want to throw a Halloween party for your child and all his/her friends this Halloween, making mummy pizzas is not only a great food you can serve at the party, but is a great activity to do at the party with all the kids.
Plus, it’s a very inexpensive activity to do with the kids and it’s a lot cheaper than ordering pizza and having it delivered. The kids will love the mummy pizzas because they will get to make them!
