Where To Find Free Coupons
Wondering where to find free coupons? In fact, are you wondering if there is such a thing as free coupons? Yes! Yes there is! There are many ways to find free coupons and I can’t wait to share them with you!
Below are my top 7 places to find free coupons – but know, there are many more this! If you have a great place you know of to find free coupons, please comment below and share it with me! I’d love to know!
Top 9 Places To Find Free Coupons
1. Ask Your Neighbors
On Sunday mornings, go outside early in the morning, and look at the driveways of all your neighbors. Pay attention to who gets the Sunday paper delivered. The Sunday paper is where you will find most manufacturers coupons.
Make note of which neighbors get the Sunday paper and then go ask them if they use their coupons. If they don’t, ask if you can have them!
I’ve done this before and there are quite a few of my neighbors who don’t want their coupons and have no problem giving them to me.
I even have one adorable neighbor that saves her coupons every week for me and puts them in my mailbox. It’s awesome!
2. Free Newspaper Service
Check with your local newspaper and see if they offer a select version of the newspaper for free. My local newspaper offers a service called Sunday Select. This is a smaller selection of the Sunday paper and it usually includes a few of the store ads and manufacturers coupons too!
All I had to do was call and request to receive the Sunday Select (which gets delivered on Saturdays), and every Saturday it’s delivered right to my door. I used to pay for the Sunday newspaper subscription, just so I would receive the Sunday coupons and the grocery store ads.
I was paying $16/month for my newspaper subscription. Then I found out about the Sunday Select subscription and as a special bonus, I realized that as soon as I stopped receiving the full Sunday Paper, I started receiving the grocery ads in the mail on Wednesdays – for free! And with the Sunday Select, I was receiving the coupons for free as well!
Needless to say don’t pay for a newspaper subscription just for the coupons – you can find coupons for free elsewhere!
3. Swap With Friends
If you have some friends that love to use coupons, just like you, then consider doing a coupon swap! Go through your coupons and clip out the ones that you know you will use. Then, call up your friend that loves them too, and swap your stacks of coupons that you didn’t want.
It’s a great way to share coupons and make sure that none of them go to waste. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure – or should we say that one mom’s coupon trash is another mom’s coupon treasure!
"One mom's coupon trash is another mom's coupon treasure!" Share on X4. Swap on Facebook
Check your local Facebook groups and see if you can find a coupon swap group. This is more common than you might think. In my local area, there are a few different coupon groups where people will post that they would like to do a coupon swap.
Works the same way as swapping with friends. You simply go through your coupons and swap the ones you don’t want with someone else.
The best part about swapping this way is that you can just leave them in a bag on your front porch and they get picked up by the person who wants to swap, at their convenience. It’s a great way to share coupons with like minded people.

5. Local Coffee Shops
Local coffee shops are a great place to find free coupons. Customers come into the shop with their newspaper and want to sit and read the paper with a warm cup of coffee. Once they are done reading the paper, a lot of times they leave it for the next person to enjoy.
Along with leaving the paper, there can be a lot of coupons left too! Just ask the coffee shop manager if you can keep the coupons. Usually, they are fine with it! The key here is to make sure you ask.
Don’t just take the coupons – but I’ll tell you, most managers won’t mind one bit – they will most likely just throw away the paper at the end of the day anyways. Just promise me you will ask first.
6. Grocery Store Coffee Shops
Coffee shops inside of grocery stores have become very popular lately. They are a great place to find free coupons from customers who have discarded the newspaper they were reading. In fact, they are a great place to find all sorts of free stuff!
When Safeway is doing their Monopoly game, the Starbucks inside my local store always has unused Monopoly pieces left behind. Just make a habit of checking the coffee shop every time you go to the grocery for any discarded coupons. Again, make to ask before taking anything.
7. Local Breakfast Restaurants
Breakfast restaurants are an excellent place to find free coupons. Just like coffee shops, you can find free coupons in the waiting area of the restaurants. Customers will come into the restaurants with their newspaper, hoping to read while they enjoy breakfast. Then when they leave, a lot of times they don’t take the paper with them.
Again, make sure to ask the restaurant manager if it’s ok to keep the coupons. The best day to find free coupons is Sunday, after the morning rush, because the Sunday paper is filled with coupons!

8. Online
There are many sites online to find free coupons! I like Coupons.com the most. It’s best to get on this site first thing each month, because they only have a certain number of prints of each coupon.
Once the number of prints has been reached, the coupon disappears from the site. I like to print out any coupons that I think I might use and have them available to me for the month.
9. Coupon Apps
There are a bunch of great coupon apps out there that don’t require you to print out a coupon and take it to the store. Instead you earn money by uploading your receipt after you get home from grocery shopping.
My favorite coupon app is Ibotta! I’d highly suggest you get it too! Download Ibotta right now using my referral code and you will instantly earn $10 cash back once you redeem your first receipt, and I earn a referral bonus as well of $5!
After you sign up, share your own referral code with ALL your friends and you will earn $5 for each friend that signs up with your referral code! Which is awesome!!!
It’s a different way of thinking than traditional coupon usage. You have to pay for the item first and then you earn cash back on the item later. But, the great thing about Ibotta is that you can use a paper or digital store coupon at the store, when you first buy the item, and still earn cash back from Ibotta too! Which means, a lot of times you can get grocery items for free!
